More than 1,000 people were asked to name their prime 3 inventions of the Noughties, and roughly three-quarters (73%) enclosed the amicable networking website in in between their choices.

The iPhone was the second majority renouned (62%), closely followed by networking website Twitter (58%).

Some of those questioned (8%) pronounced jeggings - a cranky in in between jeans and leggings - were in in between their prime inventions and a small series (2%) even voted for X Factor"s twins John and Edward.

""Some of the things in the list have altered the approach we live; the Sat Nav, for example, has done travelling most easier.""
